BBEdit Clippings

Please note that Clippings sets require a version of BBEdit which includes the Glossary or Clippings feature (we recommend BBEdit 9). This precludes using these sets with BBEdit Lite, TextWrangler, or versions of Mailsmith prior to 2.0.

BBEdit 9 Default Clippings

These are the factory default clippings supplied with BBEdit 9. BBEdit will automatically update your installed clippings when possible, but certain changes to your existing clippings will cause BBEdit to skip them. So, to get the latest and greatest, download these and install (or merge) them into your existing Clippings folder.

DocBook Lite

This is a collection of DocBook Lite clippings for BBEdit. DocBook Lite is a slimmer version of the DocBook XML standard, created for use in marking up books by O’Reilly and Associates. This package contains a DocBook Lite clipping set split into Block and Inline Elements, and six stationery pads, covering Book, Chapter, Part, etc (you’ll need to “Get Info” on these files and click “Stationery Pad” to use them as stationery.

Lasso (version 9)

This is a set of clippings to provide a list of Lasso markup tags (otherwise referred to as LDML) within your editing environment. The set of tags includes all LDML tags as of Lasso 3.6.6, along with a number of JSPScript, SSJS, and HTML tags relevant to working with Lasso.

Version 9 adds a new palette with a nearly complete set of Cascading Style Sheet properties (CSS). It can be found in the HTML_Elements.html folder.

LaTeX (version 3)

Based on Prof. Uwe Schmock’s Textures LaTeX macro menu, now expanded to cover virtually all the commands and parameters from Lamport’s LaTeX book and “The LaTeX Companion”, a large part from “The LaTeX Graphics Companion”, a little from “The LaTeX Web Companion”, plus the packages texpower and marslides. It now contains about 3600 entries.

It also contains a Mathematica Glossary Tool and four AppleScripts.
