No Web Bugs
Mailsmith displays (and sends) only plain text email. Mailsmith will always display a textual representation of an HTML message in the message window, so you can decide if you want to view the HTML in your browser. This protects you against “Web bugs” and the other security risks present in HTML email.

Preview safe HTML messages if you want to, however
Simply click the Display HTML in Browser button (or select the menu item), and the message opens in the browser you've selected.
